The Cake! The earthworms work great as decorations on a chocolate cake that looks like dirt, so just find a recipe you like. The trick is to bake both a large and a small chocolate cake, where the large one can serve as a base and the small one can be crumbled on top to resemble dirt. Let the chocolate cakes cool before decorating with the worms – otherwise, they might melt. To get the worms out of the straws, simply squeeze the straw with two fingers and push the worm onto the cake.
