Recipe for classic pancakes…. here’s how to do it
Pancake is a flat cake or bread that is prepared in a pan and primarily consists of flour, milk, and eggs. In Denmark, the word pancakes is associated with those eaten as dessert with ice cream, syrup, jam, sugar, or other sweet toppings.

Ingredients
- 106 gram Wheat Flour
- 4.2 gram Sugar
- 4 gram Vanilla Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 309 gram Milk
- 1 pcs. Egg
- Butter For frying
Instructions
- First, mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir them well together. We use a stand mixer for this.
- Then, gradually pour in the milk while continuing to stir. This helps to limit the amount of lumps in the batter.
- Once all the milk has been mixed into the batter, add the egg while continuing to stir.
- Meanwhile, heat a pan until it is hot before you start frying your pancakes. This is the secret to ensuring the first pancake isn't unpleasant. Put a little butter on the pan and pour about 1 dl of batter onto the pan and fry it. When it starts to bubble/form air holes, it is ready to be flipped.
- When you take it off the pan, add another small pat of butter to the pan and pour in 1 dl of batter again. Continue until there is no more batter left and serve with jam.
