Maybe the World's Best Cinnamon Rolls

Recipe for cinnabuns
These might be the best cinnamon rolls in the world.
They are soft and delicious, made with a fluffy yeast dough, sweet filling, and a delightfully sticky glaze on top.

Ingredients
Dough
- 300 gram Whole Milk
- 30 gram Yeast
- 1 Egg
- 100 gram Sugar
- 2 gram Cardamom
- 700 gram Wheat Flour
- 120 gram Butter soft
- 1 pinch Salt
Remonce
- 19 gram Cinnamon
- 250 gram Sugar
- 250 gram Butter soft
Glaze
- 50 gram Butter soft
- 120 gram Powdered Sugar
- 4 gram Vanilla Sugar
- 40 gram Maple Syrup
- 120 gram Cream Cheese neutral
- Lemon Zest freshly grated
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in milk and add egg, salt, and cardamom.
- Add the flour little by little and mix until ling and add butter.
- Knead the dough.
- Let rise under a damp cloth for an hour and a half.
- Mix all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients for the icing in another bowl.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle of 20 x 30 centimeters.
- Spread the filling onto the dough and fold the dough lengthwise into 3 layers.
- Cut strips on the short side and fold the strips into twists.
- Place them in a baking form side by side with about 1 centimeter of space.
- Let them rise for 2 hours under a damp cloth.
- Bake at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) for 25 minutes.
- Distribute the icing over the finished cinnabuns.
