Recipe for chocolate chip halloween cookies

Cozy Halloween project with the kids this weekend…?
These cookies not only taste faaantastic! They are also both easy and fun to make…
They are exactly how cookies should be; thick and crispy on the outside with a soft and chewy center, and they simply taste delightful of chocolate and caramel.
I mixed Daim into the dough, but you can also use dark chocolate, white chocolate, or whatever you prefer. On top, there’s chocolate icing, Dumle caramels, and small sugar eyes.
It’s a very manageable and cozy little activity, and all ages can join in.

Equipment

  • Bowl
  • Pot
  • Baking Tray
  • Oven

Ingredients

Cookies

  • 100 gram Sugar
  • 150 gram Brown sugar
  • 3 gram Salt
  • 4 gram Vanilla Sugar
  • 125 gram Butter melted
  • 1 pcs. Egg
  • 175 gram Wheat Flour
  • 200 gram Daim coarsely chopped

In addition

  • 24 pcs. Sugar Eyes
  • 12 pcs. Dumle - danish caramels

Powdered Sugar

  • 125 gram Powdered Sugar
  • 3.5 gram Cocoa
  • 15-30 gram Water to suitable consistency

Instructions

Cookies

  • Stir sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar together in a bowl. Melt the butter and stir it into the bowl along with the egg. Fold in flour and chopped chocolate into the dough. Mix everything well into a thick and chewy dough.Form 12 evenly sized balls, e.g., with an ice cream scoop, and place them on a baking sheet with plenty of space between them. I baked 6 cookies per sheet.Bake for 12-14 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit), regular oven, until they are nice and golden. Remove and let cool.

Decoration

  • Mix the icing and "draw" 8 legs on each cookie (easily done by putting the icing in a piping bag and cutting a small hole in the tip). Place a dumle in the middle of each cookie and attach small eyes to it with icing - voila
