Stir sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar together in a bowl. Melt the butter and stir it into the bowl along with the egg. Fold in flour and chopped chocolate into the dough. Mix everything well into a thick and chewy dough.Form 12 evenly sized balls, e.g., with an ice cream scoop, and place them on a baking sheet with plenty of space between them. I baked 6 cookies per sheet.Bake for 12-14 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit), regular oven, until they are nice and golden. Remove and let cool.
