Recipe for broccoli tart with cottage cheese and bacon
Easy, delicious, and flavorful tart with broccoli, cottage cheese, and bacon… Perfect as an easy dinner – perhaps with a good salad or as a delightful addition to the lunchbox.
The tart crust is incredibly easy, made with just 5 ingredients, and the filling, well, it is just as simple..
Broccoli, the main ingredient in the filling, is mild in flavor but has a high fiber content that adds texture to the broccoli tart. Eggs and cottage cheese are high in protein, and bacon adds a salty, crispy twist. Together, you get a tart packed with flavor that is very satisfying.

Broccoli Tart with Cottage Cheese and Bacon
Equipment
- 1 Pie Pan 22 cm
Ingredients
Pie Crust
- 150 gram Wheat Flour
- 30 gram Rye Flour
- 3 gram Salt
- 100 gram Butter soft
- 45 gram Water
Pie Filling
- 200 gram Broccoli
- 200 gram Cottage Cheese
- 3 pcs. Egg
- 6 gram Salt
- 50 gram Milk
- 1 handful Grated cheese
- 50 gram Bacon sliced
Instructions
Pie Crust
- Mix the two types of flour with salt and butter – I use a hand mixer.
- Mix until you get “crumb dough” that resembles small breadcrumbs.
- Add water and stir.
- Pour the dough onto a surface and gather it with your hands by kneading until you get a firm, pliable dough.
- Roll out into a circle and place in a greased pie dish of 22 cm approx. Prick the bottom with a fork and pre-bake for 5-7 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit), regular oven.
Pie Filling
- Meanwhile, fry the bacon until crisp.
- Break the broccoli into small florets and mix with cottage cheese, eggs, salt, and milk.
- Pour the egg/broccoli mixture into the pre-baked pie crust and top with grated cheese and the fried bacon. Then bake the tart for 30 minutes in the oven, until the filling is set and golden – serve.
