Background and Experience
Thomas Tranegaard Nielsen is Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of GastroFun. He is a trained home economics teacher with over 11 years of teaching experience and has developed and written hundreds of recipes in both Danish and English. He has also lived in Zurich, Switzerland, and Kennesaw, GA, USA.
Food Philosophy
His food philosophy is based on accessible ingredients, bold flavors, and techniques that make it easy to achieve great results at home. He has a particular fondness for spices and often works with flavors from the Middle East and Asia.
Career and Recognition
Thomas has appeared on stage at events such as the Food Festival in Aarhus, participated in MasterChef Denmark, and taught and hosted cooking classes for both children and adults. In addition to his work with GastroFun, he contributed to the cookbook Gæstemad, published by Dreamlitt. All of Thomas’s recipes are published through GastroFun’s official profiles and are thoroughly tested—often more than once—to ensure quality and reliability.
