If you’ve got the urge to try your hand at dry aging at home but are discouraged by either the price or the question of whether you even have space for a dry aging cabinet at home, we have good news for you.

Dry aging is certainly no longer reserved solely for the food industry. Not anymore, at least.

You might have been considering whether to invest in your own dry aging cabinet or equipment. We completely understand.

More and more private individuals are choosing to buy their own dry aging cabinet or equipment, and it naturally pleases us that more and more Danes are incorporating more fun in the kitchen – more GastroFUN – in their everyday life.

But where on earth should such an appliance be placed at home? In the garage?

Additionally, it can seem like a significant investment, as dry aging cabinets range from 7,000 to 30,000 kroner.

We have found a suggestion for a small, compact “box” for dry aging. And it fits right into your own refrigerator.

And it costs a fraction of a traditional dry aging cabinet. Almost everyone can join in.

It’s a rather unique form of dry aging since we’ve previously dry-aged either in dry aging cabinets or in dry aging bags for the refrigerator.

The box is named The SteakAger and is produced by the company, SteakAger.

The SteakAger is perfect for you if you are content with dry aging a single larger cut at a time. And it has both WiFi, UVC light, and is made of stainless steel and white ABS plastic.
