The gourmet burger with sous-vide meat from Hungry Dane in Copenhagen has just been named one of the best burgers you can get your teeth into. Now Hungry Dane is opening with their innovative burger concept at Aarhus Central Food Market, and it will happen already at the beginning of June.
Forget all about the boring burger bun with iceberg lettuce and dry, bland minced beef. At Hungry Dane, you get a soft brioche bun with crispy lettuce, and you can choose your burger with “original beef,” “signature chicken,” “barbecue pork,” or “classic duck.”
“We prepare the meat sous-vide confit, which means that the meat is first allowed to simmer in its own juices for ten hours and then tossed with our special spice blend and finally confited in duck fat. The result is an incredibly juicy, rich, and flavorful burger. In fact, we are the only kitchen in the world that takes the time to prepare burger meat in this way, and that’s exactly why you should choose to eat your burger at Hungry Dane,” says Hungry Dane owner, Peter Stagetorn Kolos.
Top ten best burger places in Copenhagen
Hungry Dane’s special burger concept has made several in the industry applaud with excitement. Most recently, the burger experts from the capital’s city guide, Urbanguide, have named Hungry Dane as the third-best burger place in Copenhagen.
“We are extremely proud of the great position in Copenhagen because the competition is so fierce! I hope we will also gain many fans among the Aarhus burger lovers, and I am very much looking forward to opening at the beautiful, central location at Aarhus Central Food Market,” says Peter Stagetorn Kolos.
Hungry Dane opens at the food market on Skt. Knuds Torv at the beginning of June 2018. The price for a gourmet burger will be 79 kroner, and you can top it with Hungry Dane’s crispy Low Fat fries for 35 kroner.
