Recipe for vesper

Recipe for the classic cocktail: Vesper.

We have the recipe from the book: “Iconic Cocktails” written by Jesper Schmidt. He writes the following about it:

“The Vesper was invented by none other than the author Ian Fleming when he wrote the James Bond novel “Casino Royale” in 1953 during a post-war era when many – not just James Bond – needed an ice-cold drink with fine citrus and gin notes. Originally, Bond ordered his drink with gin, vodka, and Kina Lillet, an aromatic wine invented by Paul and Raymond Lillet and sold from 1887 to 1986. It closely resembles the Lillet Blanc included in this recipe, with the major difference being that the main ingredient was quinine. Today, Lillet Blanc is the closest we get to the original with a significantly reduced quinine content and an enticing blend of white wine and citrus liqueur.”
