Recipe for homemade brittle
Praline – definitely not the easiest task to take on in the kitchen, but it tastes amazing.
It took a few attempts on my part to get it to where I thought it should be, and that’s why I’m sharing my recipe with you here.
What is praline?
Let me start by explaining what praline is, since not everyone might know: Praline is nuts/almonds coated in a caramelized sugar mixture (caramel). Praline comes from the French word “crocant,” which means crunchy or crispy, and that’s exactly what praline should be used for. A crunchy element in a soft dessert, for example, on top of a mousse, cake, confectionery, custard, ice cream, or similar.
