Recipe for vegan dalgona coffee
Now I’ve seen so many people on Instagram making Dalgona coffee, and it looks insanely delicious.
People fill a glass almost completely with cold milk, and then a thick layer of coffee foam is added on top. I really wanted to try it, but I eat plant-based, so I couldn’t use milk.
There are different kinds of plant-based drinks you can use instead of cow’s milk, but I prefer oat drink because it’s naturally sweet.
It turned out SUPER delicious, and it tasted just like dessert!
Here’s my recipe. I’ll also give you the tip to make extra thick “milk foam” with oat drink!

Vegan Dalgona Coffee
Ingredients
- 2 tsp. Coffee instant
- 2 tsp. Sugar
- 2 tsp. Boiling water
- 3-4 pcs. Ice Cubes
- 2.5 dl Oat Drink
Instructions
- Whisk instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water together in a cup. I used an electric whisk.
- Keep whisking until it becomes light, creamy, and airy. This takes about 30 seconds.
- Put ice cubes in a glass, shake the carton of oat milk well (this creates more foam) and pour it over the ice cubes.
- Scrape the thick coffee foam out of the cup and place it on top of the oat milk. Serve with a straw and stir the glass before drinking the coffee. If you give the oat milk a spin in a "shaker" first, you get EVEN more foam.
