Find a large bowl, a deep plate, a scale, a butter knife, and a rolling pin.
Weigh the flour in the deep plate and pour it into the large bowl.
Weigh the powdered sugar in the deep plate and pour it into the large bowl.
Add the ginger.
Measure the butter – use the lines on the butter pack.
Cut the butter into small chunks and put them in the large bowl.
Crack the egg into the large bowl.
Put your hands in the bowl and crumble the ingredients until they resemble grated cheese.
Press everything together into a lump.
Wrap the dough lump in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for 15-30 min. or in the fridge for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (374 degrees Fahrenheit).
Grab a cutting board and a knife.
Rinse the apples and dry them.
Cut the apples into 1/8 slices or thinner if you prefer.
Put them in a freezer bag along with sugar and cinnamon and shake the bag well so that all the apples are coated with sugar and cinnamon.
Take the dough out of the freezer.
Divide the dough into 2 – for a base and a top.
Roll both pieces flat with the rolling pin and place one in the bottom of a greased pie dish.
Pour the apples into the dish.
Place the other piece of dough on top
Bake the pie for 35 min.
