Equipment

  • Airfryer

Ingredients

  • 100 gram White Cabbage can be substituted with other cabbage, e.g., Chinese cabbage or red cabbage. Finely chopped
  • 50 gram Carrots Cut into thin slices - e.g., julienne
  • 50 gram Glass Noodles softened and chopped
  • 2 pcs. Scallion - Spring Onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 pcs. Chili e.g., green - preferably mild. Can be substituted with 1/2 tsp. chili powder/flakes
  • 4.5 gram Sesame Oil
  • 200 gram Ground beef can be substituted with chopped chicken, ground pork, or tofu
  • 13.5 gram Oil neutral flavor
  • 30 gram Soya
  • 6 gram Oyster sauce can be omitted
  • 6 gram Hoisin Sauce can be omitted
  • Salt and Pepper to taste - can be omitted if using hoisin sauce and oyster sauce
  • 12 pcs. Spring Roll Dough if frozen, make sure they are thawed
  • 1 pcs. Egg lightly beaten - to seal the spring rolls

Instructions

  • Chop all the vegetables (carrots, spring onions, chili, and white cabbage) and place them in a pan with sesame oil over medium-high heat (8 out of 14 on my stove).
  • They shouldn't brown, just "wilt" a bit, which takes a few minutes.
  • Remove the vegetables and place them in a bowl.
  • Turn up the heat to high (12 out of 14 on my stove).
  • Add oil to the pan and fry the meat over high heat.
  • Let it cook for a few minutes so most of the liquid evaporates.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce. If you don't have oyster sauce and hoisin sauce, add salt, pepper, and possibly a little vinegar.
  • Remove the meat from the pan and mix it in the bowl with the vegetables.
  • Mix everything well together.
  • Let it cool slightly.
  • Preheat the airfryer to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl separately.
  • Place an appropriate amount of filling on each piece of spring roll pastry. Fold the sides over and roll tightly. Use the beaten egg to seal the end of the spring roll.
  • Place the spring rolls in the airfryer without them touching each other.
  • Brush the spring rolls with a bit of oil for extra crispiness.
  • Cook the spring rolls at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) for 10-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, turning them halfway through the cooking time.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dip.
