Instructions
First, crumble the yeast and add a bit of the lukewarm water.
When the yeast is dissolved, add the rest of the water.
Then add flour, sugar, oil, and salt.
Knead the dough and let it rise for about half an hour ♥️.
Once the dough has risen, take a handful and roll it thin and long.
Then gather the ends so the dough forms a round circle.
Next, take the ends, flip them around so they twist around each other - and form a circle again.
Next, mix the syrup with some water and dip the simit into it.
Finally, brush with an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Give them about 20 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) (fan-forced), and they are done.
