Instructions
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (347 degrees Fahrenheit) (fan).
Mix brown sugar, sugar, and butter together.
Add eggs and mix it together.
Combine flour, baking soda, and the remaining spices in a separate bowl.
Sift the flour mixture into the bowl with sugar and butter.
Stir well.
Add milk and mix until the batter is uniform.
Add raisins.
Grease your baking form and pour the batter into it. You can use any suitable form, but the cake will rise considerably.
Bake the cake for about an hour, until a meat skewer or similar inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool slightly before turning it out of the form.
Once the cake is completely cool, you can cut it into slices.
