Place flour, butter in small chunks, salt, brown sugar, egg, and cardamom in a bowl.
Warm the milk until it's lukewarm and dissolve the yeast in it.
Pour the lukewarm milk and yeast mixture into the bowl with the other ingredients and knead the dough thoroughly.
Add a little more flour if necessary.
Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise to double size in a warm place.
Sprinkle a little flour on the kitchen counter and shape the dough into a ball.
Let it rest for 3-4 minutes.
Roll out the dough - it should be about twice the length of the baking sheet and have a width of around 40 cm.
