Homemade Red Cabbage
A truly delicious version of the classic Danish traditional red cabbage. With its perfect combination of sweetness and acidity, this red cabbage is definitely worth a try.

Instructions
Finely slice the red cabbage.
Heat a pot and melt the butter.
Sauté the cabbage in the butter.
When the cabbage has softened a bit, add the vinegar.
Boil the red cabbage over high heat for a few minutes without the lid.
Add water and salt and put the lid on the pot.
Let the cabbage simmer for about 1 hour.
Season with sugar, pepper, and possibly more salt.

If you have duck fat on hand, you can use it for sautéing the cabbage instead of butter.
