Homemade Garlic Bread with Herbs

Ingredients

Bread

  • 300 gram Water lukewarm
  • 25 gram Yeast
  • 28 gram Oil
  • 12 gram Salt
  • 100 gram Graham Flour
  • 400 gram Wheat Flour

Garlic Filling

  • 100 gram Cream Cheese with garlic
  • 1 bunch Herbs large bunch of chopped herbs, e.g., parsley, basil, and chives
  • 75 gram Grated cheese

Topping

  • 18 gram Coarse salt e.g., herb salt

Instructions

  • Dissolve the yeast in the water, stir in the salt and oil.
  • Add flour and mix well, optionally using a mixer.
  • Let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle, 8-10 mm thick.
  • Mix cream cheese and half of the chopped herbs – spread the mixture over the bread. Make sure to cover all the edges.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese over the cream cheese and distribute the remaining herbs on top of the grated cheese.
  • Roll the dough into a long sausage and cut slits in the top. Place it in a bread pan lined with baking paper.
  • Sprinkle salt on top of the bread and bake for about 35 minutes.
