Equipment

  • 1 Frying Pan

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Bread toast bread, baguette, sourdough bread - your choice
  • 4 slices cheese I used cheddar, but you can use anything from gruyere, mozzarella, a good Havarti, or combine different tastes
  • 30 gram Mustard I used French's Yellow Mustard - it can easily be replaced with your favorite mayo/mustard or butter
  • 50 gram Butter for the frying

Instructions

  • Heat a pan on relatively high heat (11 out of 14 on my stove).
  • Add the butter and when it is melted, add the bread.
  • Toast it for a couple of minutes and flip it over.
  • Put mustard and cheese on the toasted side and turn the other toasted side down.
  • Place parchment paper on top of the bread and press it down against the pan with a pot or similar.
  • Fry it for a couple of minutes and flip it, so the last side becomes crispy as well.
  • Place your sandwiches on a rack or similar for a couple of minutes and serve.
  • Bon appétit.
