Galette with apple and pecan caramel

In the summer, Galette can be filled with strawberries - rhubarb - cherries or peaches. In the winter, it is delicious with warm spices and fruits such as pear, apples, plums or pumpkin so good in a Galette.

Ingredients

  • 2 pcs. Apples large and sliced
  • 159 gram Flour + a little for rolling out
  • 120 gram Butter
  • 127.5 gram Sugar
  • 4 gram Vanilla Sugar
  • 2 gram Ground ginger can be omitted
  • 5 gram Baking Soda
  • 1 pcs. Egg

Pecan Caramel

  • 85 gram Sugar
  • 10 gram Butter
  • 100 gram Cream
  • 1 handful Pecans chopped
  • 2 gram Vanilla Sugar
  • 2.6 gram Cinnamon

Instructions

  • All dry ingredients are mixed.
  • Butter is crumbled into the flour, and the dough is gathered with the egg.
  • Let it rest in the fridge for 20 minutes before rolling out.
  • Meanwhile, make the caramel with pecans:
  • Melt the sugar and add the butter, then cream.
  • Let the caramel boil for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the nuts, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Let it cool slightly.
  • Roll out the dough and distribute apples on it.
  • Fold the edge and pour the pecan caramel over.
  • Bake the Galette for about 20 minutes at 180° fan oven.
  • Serve in the French manner with ice cream or freshly whipped cream is also fantastic.
