Cut the onions into rings and put them in a bowl with ice water.
The bits at the end that you can’t get into nice rings, we use in the chicken mince.
Chop the pointed cabbage into smaller pieces and put it in the bowl with ice water.
Let it sit in the fridge for about half an hour.
Prepare 3 plates, one with flour, one with one and a half eggs, and one with panko, salt, and pepper.
Drain them, dry them off, and coat them in wheat flour, then eggs, and then panko.
Fry them crispy in a deep fryer/pan for 2-3 minutes.
Take them out and drain them on kitchen paper/absorbent paper before serving.
Serve immediately.
