Egg Cake 14 pcs. Egg 50 gram Wheat Flour 500 gram Milk Can be replaced with 4 dl cream 6 gram Salt 2.3 gram Pepper 9.6 gram Baking Soda Accessories/decorations 500 gram Pork Belly Chives For garnish
Oven-fried Pork Cut the pork into slices and place them on a baking rack with a baking tray underneath.
Fry them golden at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) in a convection oven. It takes about 30-45 minutes.
The pork can also be fried in a pan or on the grill - this is a matter of one's "belief" on how one prefers their pork.
Pan-fried Egg Cake Whisk eggs, milk, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper together well so there are no lumps in the batter.
Take a medium-sized frying pan and add a bit of oil to the pan (unless the pork was fried in the same pan).
Add the egg mixture to the pan and bake the egg cake at medium heat for 45-60 minutes.
Remember to stir the egg cake occasionally and lift its edge so that the uncooked egg can flow underneath the cooked egg cake.
When the egg cake is done, it will feel firm but still slightly soft on top.
Garnish the egg cake with fried pork and chives and serve with delicious rye bread and good butter.
