Start by melting your butter. You can easily do this in a cup in the microwave.
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and whisk well so there are no lumps. The batter should be on the thicker side.
Since there is fat in the batter, you don't need to add any fat to your waffle iron when baking them.
Make sure your waffle iron is hot before you begin.
Bake about 3/4 dl of batter at a time until they are golden and crispy and serve immediately. Unlike pancakes, you cannot bake them all at once before serving.

Serve with powdered sugar (as in the picture), jam, berries, ice cream, or lemon curd.
