Cabbage Dish

Ingredients

  • 400 gram Ground Beef
  • 150 gram Bacon smoked
  • 0.5 pcs. White Cabbage
  • 4 pcs. Carrots
  • 1 kg Potato
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 8 gram Basil dried
  • 1 l Water

Instructions

  • Cut the bacon into cubes.
  • Heat a stew pot and add the bacon.
  • Fry until it releases a good amount of fat and becomes slightly golden.
  • Add the minced beef to the pot and let it cook until it has a seared crust.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and dried basil.
  • Peel the potatoes and carrots and cut both into bite-sized pieces.
  • Add the potatoes and carrots to the meat in the pot.
  • Chop the cabbage into coarse pieces and add them to the pot.
  • Pour water into the pot and let it simmer under a lid for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve the dish with some good bread to soak up the delicious gravy/soup!
