Fry bacon until crispy in a pot and then take them out of the pot.
Sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms in the bacon fat until the onions are soft and glossy. Take the onions, garlic, and mushrooms out of the pot.
Mix beef with flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Melt a little butter in the pot and brown the meat well.
Put the bacon, onions, garlic, and mushrooms back into the pot and also add tomato paste, bay leaves, water, and beef bouillon cube – let it all simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours. Simmering time depends on the size of the meat; it's ready when it is tender.
Finally, add cream and season to taste.
Serve with rice or mashed potatoes and a bit of parsley on top.
