Baked pizza rolls with ham and mozzarella

Ingredients

  • 350 gram Water lukewarm
  • 25 gram Yeast
  • 1 pcs. Egg
  • 6.25 gram Sugar
  • 3 gram Salt
  • 60 gram Oatmeal finely rolled
  • 200 gram Rye Flour
  • 300 gram Wheat Flour

The Brushing

  • Milk
  • Salt
  • 9 gram Sesame Seeds

Fill

  • 100 gram Tomato Puree
  • 1.5 gram Oregano dried
  • 75 gram Ham in strips
  • 1 ball Buffalo Mozzarella

Instructions

Dough

  • Dissolve the yeast in the water.
  • Whisk in the egg, sugar, and salt.
  • Gradually stir in the flour and knead the dough on the table until it is firm, soft, and slightly sticky.
  • Let it rise for an hour at room temperature.
  • Divide the dough into 12 pieces and flatten them slightly.

Filling

  • Chop the ham and mix it with the tomato puree and oregano.
  • Distribute the filling on the rolls and crumble the mozzarella on top.
  • Fold the dough over the filling so it closes tightly and roll the rolls round.
  • Place on a baking sheet and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  • Brush with milk and sprinkle with a little salt and sesame seeds.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) in a preheated oven until they are nicely golden.
