Recipe for thousand island dressing

Thousand Island dressing is a true American classic! This dressing is probably the most well-known and versatile of them all.

There are numerous stories that describe the origin of the dressing, and regardless, we typically associate it with everything from classics like shrimp cocktail and open-faced sandwiches to burgers and fresh summer salads – a good, all-round dressing that is super easy to make yourself!

The oldest version of Thousand Island Dressing is from the book: “Epicurian” from the late 1800s. This recipe comes from Sophia LaLonde approximately 30-40 years later.
