Ingredients

  • 4 slices Rye Bread sliced - preferably a stale piece
  • 13.5 gram Olive Oil
  • 18 gram Salt

Instructions

  • Cut the rye bread into thin sticks and place them in a freezer bag.
  • Add oil and salt to the bag and shake it to distribute the salt and oil evenly over the bread.
  • Spread the bread on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and toast the rye bread in the oven at 150°C (300°F) fan-forced for 20-30 minutes.
  • Let the toasted rye bread cool completely before serving or storing it in an airtight container.

Notes

Cut the rye bread into cubes and give them a shorter time in the oven. You now have a portion of crispy and delicious rye bread croutons, which can be used as a snack or as a topping for soups and salads.
