Recipe for ice cream soda
If you’ve been a child in the USA at any time in the past 100 years, you know what a root beer float is. It has been the overwhelming favorite drink for children, especially when the temperature reaches a critical point.
It’s not easy to find Root Beer in Denmark, so here we try a couple of alternative methods for children of all ages.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon Vanilla Ice Cream About one scoop
- 2 dl Soda
Instructions
- The recipe is very simple: Place one scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom of the glass and carefully pour soda over it:
- It pays to be very careful, as it fizzes a lot when the carbon dioxide is released. Therefore, you can't just drop the ice cream into a glass of soda, even though it would be tempting.
- Once the initial fizzing has subsided, add more soda in stages.
- Stir the drink and serve it with a thick straw.
