Recipe for homemade water with vitamins (infused water/3 varieties)
Are you drinking enough water in the summer heat?
I’m not always as good at it as I’d like to be… I know it’s important for both well-being and health… but it’s just a bit boring, isn’t it…?
But I’ve decided to change that because I really want to! And I’ve found a method that works for me: Infused water or vitamin water. Basically, it’s “just” tap water with various fruits and herbs – but it’s a brilliant way to make drinking water both more fun and even healthier. You can add precisely the fruits, vegetables, and herbs you like, so just start experimenting with flavors!
I’ve tried a few different combinations, and here are 3 variations that I think work really well:
- Vitamin water with lemon, cucumber, and mint.
- Vitamin water with strawberries, watermelon, and basil.
- Vitamin water with grapefruit, orange, and rosemary.
For all 3, they taste fresh and delicious, and they are packed with antioxidants – which is certainly a bonus, right…?
I’m surprised at how much you can actually taste the different ingredients in the water, but you really can! And it absolutely makes it more appealing to quench your thirst with these.
I make 1 liter at a time and also take a bottle to work or on trips – that way I’ve increased my water intake quite a bit. Maybe it will work for you too!
