Recipe for gozleme

Gözleme with spinach and feta.

Delicious crispy bread with a creamy filling inside.

Equipment

  • Bowl
  • Cutting Board
  • Chef'S Knife
  • Rolling Pin
  • Frying Pan

Ingredients

  • 400 gram Flour
  • 150 gram Water
  • 90 gram Oil
  • 1 pcs. Egg
  • 130 gram Spinach
  • 200 gram Feta
  • 27 gram Oil for the filling
  • 12 gram Salt
  • Pepper
  • 60 gram Lemon Juice can be up to 5 tablespoons

Instructions

  • Start by mixing flour, oil, water, egg, and 1/2 tsp salt together.
  • Knead the dough thoroughly and set aside.
  • The dough will have a more oily surface than a normal dough.
  • Chop the spinach a bit (but not into small pieces) and mix it with feta, oil, and lemon juice.
  • Mix everything well until it has a creamy and cohesive consistency.
  • Now take the dough and divide it into 5 lumps.
  • Then take one lump of dough and roll it out into a circle.
  • Make sure the dough is rolled relatively thin.
  • Then cover half of the circle with the filling and fold the other half of the dough over.
  • Seal the edges by pressing them thoroughly together.
  • Add oil to the pan and fry them on medium/high heat for about 7 minutes on each side.
  • Enjoy.
