Gooseberry Jam
Delightfully tart and sweet jam with gooseberries. The recipe is simple and requires incredibly few ingredients.

- Kitchen Scale
- Pot
- Hob
Ingredients
- 1500 gram Gooseberry
- 250 gram Water
- 400 gram Sugar you can go up to 600 grams if you want it sweeter
- 6 gram red melatin
Instructions
- Rinse the berries and place them in a pot with the water.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
- Let it boil until the berries are completely cooked down and can be easily mashed.
- Add the sugar (except 1 tbsp.) and let it cook for another 10 minutes.
- Mix 1 tbsp. of sugar with pectin.
- Add the pectin/sugar mixture to the pot and stir well while it boils.
- Let it boil for 2 minutes and then remove the pot from the heat.
- Scald the canning jars and pour the jam into them.
- Let it cool down and it’s ready to serve.
