Recipe for delicious vanilla wreath cookies
Delicious and tasty vanilla wreath cookies are something all Danes associate with Christmas and Christmas baking.

Ingredients
- 250 gram Wheat Flour
- 125 gram Sugar
- 200 gram Butter
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 100 gram Almond Flour
- 16 gram Vanilla Sugar Or a whole vanilla bean
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer until the dough comes together. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour. Attach a star-shaped nozzle to the meat grinder. Cut the dough into smaller pieces and run it through the meat grinder.
Shape the 6-8 cm strips into wreaths and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them in the middle of the oven at 200°C fan-forced for 6-8 minutes.
Notes
When I was a child, I didn't like that the vanilla wreath cookies had a hole in the middle, so my grandma made the leftover dough into a "fork cookie." They were rolled into small balls and flattened with a fork.
