Recipe for our delightful date paste, which can be used in a variety of cakes.

The date paste is “sugared,” so you don’t have to use refined sugar.

It is used, for example, in this Cheesecake recipe.

Ingredients

300 gram Dates prepared
500 gram Water

Instructions

Put dates in a pot and pour water over them.
Bring the dates to a boil and let them simmer on medium heat.
Mash the dates with a fork while they are simmering.
When the dates are tender after 5-10 minutes, blend them until you get a uniform paste.
Once the paste has cooled, it can be frozen for later use. You can also use it immediately, for example, to make one of our many delicious cakes.
