Christmas Trifle with Apple Compote, Cinnamon Cream, and Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients
Applesauce
- 450 gram Apples 4-5 pcs.
- 2 gram Fresh ginger grated
- 4 gram Vanilla Sugar
- 100 gram Water
Kanelflødeskum
- 200 gram Cream
- 8 gram Powdered Sugar
- 2 gram Cinnamon ground
Topping
- 50 gram Biscuits Bastogne
- 50 gram Brunkager (Danish Cookies)
Instructions
- Peel and dice the apples. Put them in a pot along with ginger, vanilla sugar, and water – bring to a brief boil and then let simmer until the apples are tender. Mash or blend into an apple compote. Chill for about 30 minutes.
- Whip the cream together with powdered sugar and cinnamon into a light whipped cream.
- Crush Bastogne biscuits and gingerbread cookies.
- Get 2 glasses and distribute the chilled compote, vanilla cream, and cookies in them, creating nice layers. Optionally garnish with cinnamon sticks and gingerbread cookies and serve (or save for later).
