Recipe for chocolate fondant with melting heart
CHOCOLATE FONDANT.
Whether it is called a “gâteau fondant au chocolat” or “petit gâteau”, it is an underbaked, small chocolate cake with a crunchy crust and a delightfully soft filling.
The recipe serves 10-12, depending on the size of your molds.

Chocolate Fondant with Melting Heart
Ingredients
- 225 gram Dark chocolate 0.7
- 225 gram Butter
- 75 gram Sugar
- 0.25 dl Cognac
- 3 pcs. Egg
- 2 pcs. Egg Yolk
- 0.25 dl Orange Juice
- 50 gram Wheat Flour
- Butter or fat spray - to grease the molds
Instructions
- 1. Melt chocolate, butter, and sugar together over a water bath. 2. Whisk eggs, egg yolks, cognac, and orange juice together in a bowl. 3. Whisk chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. 4. Sift the flour into the chocolate/egg mixture to avoid lumps. 5. Grease the molds very well with butter or fat spray. Fill the molds with batter up to about 1 cm from the top edge. 6. Bake at 190 degrees Celsius (374 degrees Fahrenheit) for 7 minutes in a conventional oven. Take the cake out and let it stand for 30 seconds before turning it out onto a plate. They should be eaten immediately. The cakes are suitable for freezing unbaked.
