Whole chicken is perfect when you have guests over; there’s enough for everyone, and it tastes fantastic.

Ingredients
- 1 pcs. Whole Chicken Or Young Rooster - About 1,500g
- Spices Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 1 bunch Parsley
- 2 pcs. Carrots
- 250 gram Parsley Root
- 250 gram Beets
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 75 gram Butter
- 4 pcs. Thyme Sprigs
- pcs. Grated rind of 1 lemon Unsprayed
- 250 gram White Wine
- 300 gram Chicken Stock
Instructions
- Start by taking out your chicken and place it on a cutting board. Take your parsley and your salt. Take your bunch of parsley and stuff it into the end of the chicken. Then salt the chicken well. Cut your vegetables into the desired shapes. Place your vegetables in your dish, and place the chicken on top. Add a few pats of butter to the top of the chicken, along with a few sprigs of thyme for flavor. Then add your chicken stock and white wine to the dish. The chicken is now ready to go in the oven. Cover the top of the dish, and give the chicken 1 ½ hours at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit). When the chicken is out of the oven, take the liquid from your dish and pour it into a pot. Thicken the liquid in the pot until it reaches the desired consistency. Top the sauce with a bit of color, and it's ready to be served along with the rest.
