Recipe for caramelized walnuts

A good dessert needs the right combination of sweetness, acidity, crunch, and richness. Often, one might end up lacking crunch in a dessert, such as in a mousse. In this case, caramelized nuts are an easy and delicious way to give the dish the final touch it needs.

  • Frying Pan
  • Hob

Ingredients

  • 100 gram Walnuts
  • 62.5 gram Cane Sugar

Instructions

  • The sugar is melted over medium heat in a pan.
  • Once the sugar has melted, the walnuts are coated in the caramel and poured onto a piece of baking paper.
  • When the caramelized walnuts are cool, they can be cut with a serrated knife!
