Recipe for baked pasta with bacon, tomato, and greens
Pasta bake is an absolutely fantastic dish, which is easy and quick and brilliant for clearing out the fridge. I like to make it on Sundays, as I can use up leftover meat and vegetables from the week and thereby clear out before a new week and a new meal plan begins.
This version turned into a colorful, creamy, and flavorful one with bacon, tomato, and vegetables—all cooked in a spiced cream sauce. I make the sauce with cream, crème fraîche, tomato paste, various spices, and grated cheese. Tomato always complements pasta really well, and the cheese adds a little extra deliciousness when you take a bite. And I like when it tastes of something—that’s why I add various spices. Crème fraîche and cream ensure lots of creamy goodness, the bacon gives a crunchy, salty twist, and the fresh tomatoes contribute a bit of freshness and slight acidity – yum it’s a good mix!
