Ingredients
- 1 pcs. Burger Bun Buy the one you like best or make it yourself.
- 200 gram Ground Beef Ask for about 15% fat from the butcher or in the store.
- 2 slices cheese Cheddar is classic, otherwise any sliced cheese
- Pickles Try pickling yourself and play with the flavors
- Ketchup
- Burger Dressing Maybe thousand island
- Sweet mustard
Instructions
- Form the patty from the beef to a size that is about 2-3 cm larger than the circumference of the bun.
- Fry the patty in butter on the pan until it reaches the desired color. If you have bought freshly ground meat from the butcher, you can usually make a patty that is red in the middle. If you buy the meat in the supermarket, you should cook it through to kill most bacteria.
- Press in the middle of the patty during frying and notice when the color of the liquid that comes out turns clear.
- When it’s done, flip it and put the cheese on. Take the pan off the heat and let the cheese melt while you warm the bun.
- You can either warm the bun in the oven, or you can cut it in half and fry the inside on the pan from the patties for a couple of minutes until it’s crispy, adding a bit of extra butter to the pan – this gives a soft bun with a crispy inside.
- Spread the bun with ketchup and add the patty, burger dressing, sweet mustard, and pickles.
- Close it with the top half of the bun spread with ketchup and serve immediately.
