Recipe for nutella cake

Nutella is not just delicious as a spread, it is also highly suitable for use in cakes and desserts.

Here you will get the recipe for a dessert and cake that tastes intensely, softly, and crisply all at once. Serve it as a dessert with a delicious scoop of vanilla ice cream and some fresh berries, or as a piece of cake with a cup of coffee, just as it is.

In addition, the Nutella cake is good for freezing, as it is almost as good as freshly baked once it thaws. That way, you always have something to offer your guests when they stop by for a cup of coffee.

Nutella Cake

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 100 gram Butter
  • 50 gram Sugar
  • 80 gram Wheat Flour
  • 1 pinch Flake Salt
  • 3 pcs. Egg
  • 200 gram Sugar
  • 150 gram Nutella
  • 60 gram Wheat Flour

Instructions

  • Mix sugar, flour, and salt in a bowl and add the butter. Crumble the butter and press the dough together - add 1/2 tbsp of water if the dough is difficult to bring together. Line a small baking pan with baking parchment and press the dough into it. It should be 0.5 cm thick. Prick the base with a fork. Bake the base at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15 minutes, until it is slightly golden at the edges. Whisk eggs and sugar together to form a thick, white and frothy mass. Add Nutella and flour and whisk it in. Spread the mixture over the pre-baked base. Return the cake to the oven and bake it for about 25 minutes. When the surface has "puffed" up and is just baked, remove the cake. It must not be overbaked. Cool the cake completely before cutting it into suitable pieces.

Notes

TIP: The cake can be frozen
