Last Sunday, I made a christening cake for a little boy, it was supposed to be blue both on the outside and inside.
Today, my own boys and I are enjoying some leftover blueberry mousse.

There is enough blueberry mousse in this recipe for one layer in a 25 cm cake.

Blueberry Mousse
Shades of blue ? Last Sunday I made a christening cake for a little boy; it had to be blue both inside and out. Today, my own boys and I are enjoying some leftover blueberry mousse.
Ingredients
- 250 gram Blueberry Frozen or fresh
- 25 gram Sugar
- 8 gram Vanilla Sugar
- 200 gram Plain yogurt Natural
- 500 gram Whipping Cream 1/2 liter
- 4 leaves Gelatin Sheets
- Paste Color Blue. Optional
Instructions
- Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 10 minutes.
- Whip the cream to whipped cream (whip lightly and then place in the refrigerator).
- Boil the blueberries for 5 minutes together with sugar and vanilla sugar.
- Squeeze the water out of the gelatin sheets and melt them in the blueberries.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- Fold the yogurt into the mixture.
- Then fold the whipped cream into the mixture.
- Distribute the mousse on the cake layers or in glasses and refrigerate for a few hours, preferably overnight.
- I added blue pasta color to the mousse to make it blue.
- Otherwise it will be light pink.
