Recipe for spicy oatmeal with baked plums
Delightful, spiced autumn porridge with baked plums, creamy dulce de leche, and crunchy granola… Sweet and tangy in a delicious blend atop a flavorful porridge – both healthy and filling combined.
The caramel complements the slightly tangy plums very well, and the granola adds a bit of crunch. The plums are baked in the oven (this can be done while morning routines are handled) and the rest is ready in a few minutes… a nice and warming start to the day…
The caramel is store-bought. It is called dulce de leche or caramelized milk and can be purchased ready to use in well-stocked supermarkets. Usually found near flour, sugar, and other baking items.
